EL BAT creates and maintains one of the world’s largest circular economies to recycle lead batteries, and our main goal is to leave the world better than we found it. EL BAT plays a key role in closing the loop of the world’s power demand and utilization of raw lead materials. By recycling lead products, we help to reduce the pressure on the environment, enhance raw material supply security, and increase competitiveness, innovation, growth, and jobs.
Into recycling and production
Powering progress of the circular economy: At EL BAT, we are focused on using less energy and fewer resources to create smarter solutions for recycling discarded lead-acid batteries. We produce the lead metal needed in battery manufacturing to design, build, recover, and reuse batteries, creating a more efficient and sustainable recycling process today and into the future.
Into commodities
The LME offers those at all stages of the metals supply chain the opportunity to hedge their price risk and gain protection from adverse price movements. At EL BAT, we hedge metals—a process of offsetting the risk of price fluctuations in the physical market by locking in a price for the same commodity in the futures market.
